How to Sort Your Microsoft Internet Explorer Favorites List
by Joshua Feinberg
Are you constantly browsing the web and adding cool new
sites to your Microsoft Internet Explorer Favorites list, only to end
up with a huge, disorganized mess?
Here's an easy way to bring some order to your web browsing experience
and "bookmarking".
Tip: The Microsoft Internet Explorer Favorites list is basically
the same thing as the Netscape Navigator Bookmarks list.
1. Click on the Favorites pull-down menu in Microsoft Internet
Explorer to display your list of Favorites.
Note: Don't use the Favorites button on the Standard Toolbar, as that
will open the Favorites list on the left hand side of your screen and
won't give you a sorting option.
2. Right-click on any part of the drop down Favorites list. Select
Sort by Name. Voila! You've arranged your Favorites in alphabetical order.
Here's a bonus tip:
You can use Organize Favorites, on the Favorites pull-down menu, to create
folders and really categorize all of your preferred web sites.
